Ryan Pettinella was a starter in the ACC at the University of Virginia but had limited production (3pts, 3 reb) in his college system, but Maverick Sports saw his ability and placed him in Serie A in Italy, one of the best basketball leagues in the world. Ryan went on to have a fine career and played in both Italy and Spain, two of the best basketball leagues in the world outside of the NBA.
